HREA Summit 2024

On Thursday, October 24, 2024, we participated in the 25th annual HREA Summit 2024, held in the beautiful premises of Microsoft. During the summit, the best HR project of the year was awarded as part of the HR Excellence Awards 2024. The event was held under the auspices of the People Management Forum and the Association of Human Resources Professionals of the Czech Republic.

The summit opened with an engaging panel discussion featuring the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Marian Jurečka, CEFGE-EI economist Štěpán Jurajda, HR Director of Vodafone Czech Republic Magdalena Wavle, and HR Director of Penny Market Czech Republic Michal Batelka. The discussion focused on topics related to transparency and labor market flexibility.

Throughout the day, individual HR projects competing in the HR Excellence Awards 2024 were presented. Projects were categorized based on various HR areas such as volunteering, recruitment and onboarding, corporate culture, communication, benefits, and more.

The event concluded with voting for the winners. In the large company category, the Komerční banka project - Development Incubator - won, while the small and medium-sized enterprise category was won by the THIMM Packaging project - Playful Ambassadorship, or Corrugated Cardboard Anything. In the public administration and non-profit category, the Czech Police project - Virtual Recruitment Center of the Czech Police - triumphed.

The entire event and the presented projects were highly inspiring, with a fantastic atmosphere filled with sharing experiences and innovative HR approaches. It was motivating to see how companies and organizations approach employee development and corporate culture building, and I believe we will take away many ideas that we can apply within our own company.
